Graffiti Collage

Since this was a class assignment, the client was my teacher. My target audience was teenagers around my age, as I was trying to advertise for the anti-bullying club SHOULDER in my graphic. I used Adobe Photoshop to create this piece. The design element I focused on was texture, because I wanted the brick wall to stand out against the graffiti art and seem realistic. I learned how to lower the opacity of a picture to allow it to blend in more and allow the background image to show through. I chose black for my picture so it would look more uniform, and a darker color like purple for the text so that it would match the darker brick wall. This assignment seemed pretty straightforward, and I was able to use color range to select the more prominent features of my face to put against the background image as well as lower the opacity of the text. I think I should use a different font if I were to do this assignment again, as well as choose a shorter message to place on the brick wall.
