Fueling Kids Logo
The client was the Fueling Kids club. My target audience was comprised of children as well as the adult leaders of the club. I used Adobe Illustrator to create this piece. I attempted to focus on the design element of shapes and lines so that I could add an image into a similar-looking letter, and connect the two words with a single letter. I learned that I should try to avoid gradients when designing a logo, and that unity is very important when piecing everything together. I chose to base my colors off of the fruit I used in the logo, so i used green and red, as well as black to contrast with those bright colors. I rushed a little with this assignment, and had a hard time thinking of how to begin my logo. In the end, though, I decided to go with substituting a letter with a healthy food item, and changing the colors to go with it. Honestly, I should have tried to be a little more creative, and also to change the font used to a more appealing font. Rather than just a watermelon as a "D," I should have stuck to my previous design and worked from there.
